Breheimsenteret
Jostedal, Norway
Breheimsenteret is now in full action again after it was totally destroyed in a fire in 2011. The center was reconstructed with the original architecture, but some interior changes were made to meet new needs.
The exhibition space was enlarged and Gagarin was hired to supply new interactive solutions. We delivered three unique installations where we among other things had to cross new boundaries in terms of interaction and technique.
The exhibition was designed by Paul Sundhell and the project was managed by Peder Kjærvik. All constructions and IT solutions were provided by local suppliers.

In this multi-user installation visitors gather in front of a geographical map showing the national park.

They can select different „information-pucks“ to work with and by placing them on to a station, various information appears on the map.
By turning the pucks users navigate within a given subject and/or play animations illustrating a certain story.

A glacier has much more life to it than one might think at first glance.

This installation is comprised of four interactive screens which together serve as one long timeline.
Users can through an animated map browse through time at different zoom levels.
