Natural History Museum of Iceland
For the Natural History Museum of Iceland, Gagarin designed and produced three installations covering different fields in the world of water. For one of them, The Ecosystem Viewer, Gagarin teamed up with Interactive Scape regarding a multitouch table where visitors can learn about the rich life to be found in different types of wetland areas in Iceland. By exploring swamps, lakes and rivers with the help of a circular device they can find different lifeforms and even zoom in to the smallest of things by turning the rings.

"Our work often revolves around making a lot of content accessible to exhibition visitors, without scaring them away with too much information. Using the Interactive Scape table allowed us to create an experience where we could share information to visitors bit by bit, through using the rings that feel extremely smooth and natural. Each zoom level creates a cliffhanger that leaves the visitor wanting for more. We were able to create these smooth experiences because  Interactive scape allows us to take full control over the hardware."
