DesignMarch 2026: Design in Gróska

As part of DesignMarch 2026, Gagarín participated in Designed in Gróskaa collaborative event highlighting the diverse design-driven work produced within the innovation house Gróska.

The event brought together creative companies working across experience design, digital solutions, branding and architecture, offering visitors insight into the wide range of disciplines shaping the creative environment at Gróska.

During the event, Nils Wiberg presented Gagarín’s work for Climeworks, an interactive model of the Mammoth carbon capture plant, located at the company’s visitor centre at Hellisheiði Power Station.

The presentation explored how Gagarín transformed the highly complex processes of direct air capture and carbon mineralisation into a clear, tangible visitor experience. Through a hands-on interactive model, visitors can follow the journey of captured CO₂ from the atmosphere back into Iceland’s basalt bedrock, demonstrating how climate technology can be communicated through physical interaction, storytelling and spatial design.

The Mammoth model was designed to make an invisible industrial process understandable, accessible and engaging, turning climate science into an experience people can see, touch and explore.
