At the end of the year, 50 years have passed since the establishment of Hitaveita Suðurnesja, the predecessor of HS Orka. The municipalities of Suðurnes joined forces half a century ago in partnership with the Icelandic state, and on December 31, 1974, Hitaveita Suðurnesja was established by law from Alþingi.

On this occasion, HS Orka invites the residents of Reykjanesbær and all visitors to Ljósanótt to a anniversary story exhibition in Gryfjunni at Duus collection houses. The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday, September 5, but it is scheduled to continue until the end of the month.

The exhibition, "50 years of progress," is HS Orka's contribution to this year's festival. Designed in collaboration with Gagarín, it paints a picture of the unique entrepreneurial thinking and foresight that have accompanied the company for half a century.
