Leifur Eiríksson Airport
Gagarin produced a film about Iceland that is shown in the transit area of the Leifur Eiríksson Airport. The film is the Airport's contribution to the marketing project 'Iceland Naturally'.
The challenge
A great number of tourists travel through Iceland each year without ever setting foot outside the Airport. The main purpose of the film is to give the tourists a glimpse of Iceland's spectacular nature in a timeless and memorable way and thus encourage them to come again and visit the country.
The outcome
The seven minute long film takes the viewer from the Airport itself up in the air and to some of Iceland's most memorable places. The film is projected on the largest glass in Iceland, 6.6 meters wide and 3.5 meters tall.
Gagarin produced the film in cooperation with True North, the exhibition designer Árni Páll Jóhannsson, the film producer Karl Óskarsson, the music was composed by Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson and Exton provided all the technical equipment.
